On January 25, China Unicom Beijing and Huawei completed a large-scale 5G-A network demonstration, achieving contiguous coverage in three key scenes: the financial street in the city center, the historical long-distance building, and the large comprehensive stadium Beijing Workers Stadium. Actual drive test results show that the peak downlink rate of 5G-A users reaches 10Gbps, and the continuity experience exceeds 5Gbps. It also successfully demonstrated high and low frequency collaboration and flexible deployment of outdoor & indoor 5G-A equipment. In terms of application, it has completed practices such as naked-eye 3D, ultra-high-definition shallow compression real-time production system, and XR separation rendering.

This is the country's first 5G-A large-scale networking demonstration, providing reference for large-scale replication of 5G-A networks and applications.

In the in-vehicle network evaluation, the peak downlink rate of 5G-A users reached 10Gbps, and the continuous experience exceeded 5Gbps. Compared with 5G, the experience increased by 10 times. Taking into account the possible contiguous point-like deployment characteristics of 5G-A commercialization in the future, this experience also focused on adding the high- and low-frequency collaboration process in the case of discontinuous coverage. Users will not be aware of the handover and the business will proceed smoothly.

Representatives of media and other industry experts had a comprehensive experience of 5G-A network and toBtoC applications in the 5G-A Financial Street-scale networking demonstration area built by Beijing Unicom and Huawei.

In the application demonstration, based on indoor 5G-A networking in the long-distance telephone building, application practices such as naked-eye 3D, ultra-high-definition shallow compression real-time production system, 8K large uplink live broadcast, and XR separate rendering were enabled. The uplink 4Gbps network capability was used, fully demonstrating the network empowerment capability of 5G-A for the digital transformation of media and other industries.
