A report released by the California New Car Dealers Association on Monday showed that Tesla ranked first in electric vehicle sales in California last year, and its Model Y model continued to be the best-selling car in the state. The report shows that Tesla’s new car registrations in California last year were 230,588, a year-on-year increase of 24.6%. Among them, 132,636 Model Y vehicles were registered, an increase of 52% from 87,257 vehicles in 2022.

It is worth noting that Tesla Model Y had more registrations in California last year than the second-ranked Toyota RAV4 and third-ranked Honda CR-V combined. Although both cars are priced lower than the Model Y, which starts at $43,990.
