On February 3, Beijing time, at 8:00 US Eastern Time on Friday (21:00 on Friday, Beijing time), Apple’s first blockbuster new product in many years, Vision Pro, was officially launched. Many die-hard Apple fans lined up outside Apple's Fifth Avenue flagship store early, hoping to be among the first to get their hands on this spatial computing device.

Pele Bapere, a manager at the Transportation Authority, had never experienced VisionPro before, but he bought one for $3,500 (approximately 25,000 yuan). Vision Pro is Apple’s first important new product since the release of Apple Watch in 2015.

“I bought the VisionPro without even seeing it,” Babel said. “I couldn’t wait to take it home.”

He said that VisionPro will replace his 10-year-old MacBook. Later, he would use the headset to send emails, watch movies or video chat with his mother. However, he will not wear VisionPro wandering around on the streets of New York, "that will attract strange looks."

Apple CEO Tim Cook (Tim Cook) also came. At 8 o'clock in the morning, he personally opened the door of the Fifth Avenue flagship store to welcome the long-awaited Apple fans. Before that, he would do the same thing every time a new iPhone came on the market.

Cook has been embraced by Apple fans. In the Apple Store, he has been surrounded by Apple fans. Some people took selfies with Cook on their mobile phones, while others asked for his autograph.

Yam Olisker flew to New York from Modine, Israel, to snap up VisionPro. He asked Cook to sign the back of his iPhone and the Vision Pro box. His hands were shaking with excitement, "I'm so excited."

He believes that VisionPro will one day replace the iPhone, and he hopes to be the first to "eat a crab."

"I want to witness history," he said.

Friday is also the first day Apple opens online registration to try out Vision Pro. In its Fifth Avenue flagship store, Apple placed 16 semicircular leather sofas to provide customers with 30-minute demonstrations. Customers sat with Apple employees throughout the entire experience.

Amol Kodan is a 26-year-old New Yorker. He said he watched clips from the Super Mario Bros. movie during the demo.

"The effect was amazing," said Kedan, who later bought a VisionPro. "I had never experienced anything like this."

After Kedan completed the demo experience, Apple employees asked to take a selfie with him. "Apple employees said I was one of the first people to get a demo," Kedan said.

Arthur Benhamou, 24, owns an artificial intelligence consulting company in Paris. He said that he watched the AppleTV+ original drama "For All Mankind" during the demonstration. VisionPro made him feel like he was watching the science fiction show on a giant screen by a California lake.

People queuing outside the Apple Store

Ben Hammer intended to work with it. "This is a real computer," he said, not some gadget he'll only use once. In addition to the VisionPro, he also spent $200 on a white protective case that looks like a pillow.

Apple has not disclosed VisionPro sales. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at Tianfeng International Securities, predicts that VisionPro’s first weekend sales will be between 160,000 and 180,000 units.

first person

One man said he was the first person to enter the Apple store on Friday morning and had been queuing outside since 9:30 p.m. the night before.

"I haven't slept," he said.

He did not give his name because as Cook passed by, he borrowed a pen from a reporter, asked for Cook's autograph, and then disappeared into the crowd.
