The popular generative artificial intelligence bot ChatGPT is now available on Apple’s spatial computing device Vision Pro. Developer OpenAI has announced that you can find the ChatGPT app on the visionOS AppStore.

The chatbot has previously been available as an app for iPhone and iPad, and it can also be accessed via a web browser. According to VentureBeat, ChatGPT on Apple Vision Pro is supported by OpenAI’s latest large language model (LLM) GPT4Turbo.

Since its launch in November 2022, ChatGPT has taken the technology world by storm. Users can provide input prompts to the chatbot to ask questions, create meal plans, perform grammar checks, get advice, research topics, and more.

It understands natural language queries and answers appropriate questions while maintaining context awareness as you ask a series of questions. However, the features offered by the chatbot may depend on whether you are using the free version or ChatGPTPlus.

ChatGPT started out as text-only, but OpenAI later added more input modes to it, like voice and images, so you could talk to the chatbot instead of typing your questions. Leveraging a feature called GPT, you can create a customized version of ChatGPT that's better suited for your specific tasks.

Apple said that VisionPro will provide 600 new applications and games when it is released, and ChatGPT is one of them. The mixed reality headset also supports more than 1 million apps on the iPad.

Major streaming media players such as Netflix, Spotify and YouTube are reportedly turning a blind eye to the new product. So far, their streaming apps don't work with VisionPro, but a developer has come up with a solution for YouTube.
