BYD's first car ro-ro transport ship has passed the Cape of Good Hope and entered the Atlantic Ocean

According to blogger @小迪express,BYD's first ro-ro car carrier Pioneer 1 has officially entered the Atlantic Ocean through the Cape of Good Hope and headed for Europe.According to previous reports, on January 10 and January 15, 2024, BYD's "EXPLORERNO.1" car transport ro-ro ship held delivery and maiden voyage ceremonies at Yantai Port, Shandong Port, and Shenshan Xiaomo International Logistics Port respectively.

The ship is also the first car transport ship built by a domestic shipyard and specially used for the export of domestically produced cars.

The total length is 199.9 meters, the width is 38 meters, the design draft is 8.6 meters, the design speed is 19 knots, and it can carry up to 7,000 vehicles.

In terms of power, the ship also adopts the latest LNG dual-fuel power technology to meet the needs of diverse routes and is suitable for various new energy vehicles.

In addition to Trailblazer 1,In the next two years, BYD will put eight ro-ro ships into operation, with a total investment of more than 5 billion yuan.
