Recently, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa responded to the alleged plagiarism of the "Pokémon" game in the "Pokémon" game. "Phantom Parlu" is a survival game that has been a huge success since it was launched on PC and Xbox platforms last month. As of February 1, it has sold 12 million copies on the Steam platform and 7 million players are playing on the Xbox platform. However, its character design sparked controversy over plagiarism from Pokémon, with many players accusing it of copyright infringement.
According to Reuters, Shuntaro Furukawa was asked about "Phantom Pallu" during a Q&A session following the release of Nintendo's latest financial report. He did not comment directly on "Phantom Parlu" itself, but responded: "We will take appropriate action against those who infringe our intellectual property rights."
Furukawa's comments come after The Pokémon Company broke its silence two weeks ago. At the time, The Pokémon Company said it was investigating whether Pokémon Paloo infringed on its intellectual property rights. "We have received many inquiries about another company's game for release in January 2024," the company said in a statement.
