This week, Microsoft revealed a small, but still significant, change to its Copilot for Windows functionality, apparently based on user feedback. Shilpa Ranganathan, Microsoft's vice president of Windows, posted a rather rare message on her X (formerly Twitter) account this week, at least for her. She revealed that Windows Copilot's chat window will now use a larger chat space by default. She hinted that Microsoft heard from users that they wanted larger chat windows.

Ranganathan noted that the Copilot chat window can still be resized, allowing anyone to use a larger or smaller window. The default size can also be switched back to "thinner side-by-side windows".

Another detail in her X post is that the picture she shared with a large Copilot window also had a Notepad app running behind it, with the words "More to come from Copilot in Windows." It sounds like Ranganathan will definitely be releasing more updates and news about Copilot in the future.
