Did you know that Microsoft has an official app for improving the performance of Windows 10 and 11? In October 2022, the company launched the "PCManager" application, which has built-in utilities for adjusting the performance of the computer, speeding it up, and keeping the software aspect in good condition. You can download the app from the Microsoft App Store.

Microsoft PC Manager is available for Windows 10 and 11 (x64 and ARM). For users who download the software, Microsoft provides one-click solutions for optimizing performance and memory usage, cleaning junk files on the hard drive, troubleshooting parts of the operating system, providing anti-virus protection with the help of the Microsoft Defender platform, blocking pop-up windows for Windows applications, and more.

The company said the app "adheres to the four product concepts of being simple and smooth, close to native, efficient and safe, and pure and interference-free." Indeed, the app looks and feels native to Windows 11, and offers plenty of features that won’t overwhelm users.

In addition to basic maintenance functions, the Microsoft PC Manager application offers some additional convenience features, such as a floating toolbar with a memory usage indicator (unfortunately, no CPU or GPU tracking, only memory), SnippingTool links, the ability to pin websites for quick access, and more. There's even a built-in task manager that lets you browse running processes, see how much memory each one consumes, and kill those that are hogging your computer's resources. You can keep the floating bar on the screen or hide it in a collapsible sidebar.

The Microsoft PCManager app was originally made for the Chinese market, but should now be generally available in more regions. Unfortunately, the localization of the software is still not perfect and is only available in English and Chinese.
