While most reports to date have suggested that the next-generation iPhone SE will feature a similar design to the standard iPhone 14 model, with notch for FaceID, a rough rumor now suggests the device will feature a Smart Island design.
This latest claim comes from leaker @MajinBuOfficial on X (formerly Twitter). In addition to the "Smart Island", he also said that the next iPhone SE may have a vertical rear camera module, just like the rumored iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, the difference is that there is only one camera instead of two. According to the information he shared, the rear microphone and LED flash will be located under the camera lens in a pill-shaped bump.
@MajinBuOfficial recently shared an iPhone 16 sketch purportedly based on real information. However, the records of Apple rumors he provided are mixed, and the information related to the iPhone SE is still unconfirmed. It is also possible that Apple is making multiple prototypes of the iPhone SE, and the design may not have been finalized yet.
The next iPhone SE is expected to launch in 2025, but that time frame could change.
