Ubisoft has just announced its financial results for the first nine months and the third quarter (that is, April to December) of the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Net sales for the quarter were €626.2 million, slightly above the company's guidance of €610 million. We also learned that net bookings increased 43.1% year over year in the third quarter and 45.1% year over year in the first nine months of the fiscal year.

As usual, the press release included comments from CEO Yves Guillermo, this time quite extensive.

Guillemot said it was a "solid quarter" and mentioned it was the beginning of Ubisoft's shift toward continuing to develop high-quality, playable games. He added that growth was driven by "continued strong performance" from games such as Assassin's Creed: Visions and Avatar: Pandora's Frontier, as well as The Crew: The Crew.

Guillermo also confirmed that "Star Wars: Outlaws" will be released in 2024, and "Assassin's Creed: Codename Red", which is set in feudal Japan, is also planned to be released in the next fiscal year, that is, before March 2025.

In addition, the free mobile games "The Division: Dawn" and the mobile version of "Rainbow Six" will be released in the next fiscal year, that is, between April 2024 and March 2025.

In a subsequent conference call, Chief Financial Officer Frédéric Duguay said the full product lineup for the next fiscal year will be announced in May. He also said that new game releases in the most recent quarter ("Assassin's Creed: Visions" and "Avatar: Pandora's Frontier") were broadly in line with the company's expectations.
