Tesla released a video on the X platform over the weekend showing the progress of its humanoid robot "Optimus Prime". In the video, the Tesla robot demonstrated visual self-calibration, color sorting tasks, and the ability to maintain balance on one foot. The official Tesla Optimus Prime robot account writes: "Optimus Prime can now autonomously sequence objects. Its neural network is fully trained end-to-end: video input, control output. Come join us to help grow Optimus Prime (and improve his yoga routine)."

Tesla CEO Elon Musk liked the video and said: "Progress."

However, as with any advanced technology, safety issues with the Optimus Prime robot have also attracted people's attention. One X user pointed out a "red button" on the back of Optimus Prime's neck, possibly as a safety measure against a potential robot world takeover scenario.

In response, Musk assured that Tesla would prioritize safety and make it easy to pause Optimus Prime using a remote control or phone, without the need for centralized control.

He wrote: "We will do our best to keep Optimus Prime safe. It needs to be easily paused using a remote control or your phone, no centralized control required."
