HTC has announced that it will change the revenue share for developers of its XR games and app store Viveport. Starting April 1, developers of new games will keep 90% of revenue from one-time purchases of PC VR and ViveXRElite games and apps. the company said. The current game revenue distribution will continue until March 1.

Joseph Lin, general manager of Viveport, said: "Developers are the heartbeat of the XR ecosystem - when they can thrive, the entire industry can thrive."

“That’s why we’re offering developers a 90% revenue share on purchases of apps and games on the Viveport Store, helping accelerate their growth. By putting more resources directly into the hands of creators, we’re ensuring Viveport is at the forefront of driving growth for the XR community.”
