According to reports, Nvidia is preparing new Ada GPU variants for its GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 graphics cards, which will use three new chips.
According to MEGAsizeGPU reports, Nvidia may be preparing three new AdaGPUSKUs for its three graphics cards, covering mainstream and high-end fields. These include GeForceRTX4070, RTX4060Ti and RTX4060. The three SKUs include:
GeForceRTX4070: AD104-251 (current) -> AD103-175-KX (new)
GeForceRTX4060Ti: AD106-351 (current) -> AD104-150-KX (new)
GeForceRTX4060: AD107-400 (current) -> AD106-255 (new)
NVIDIA GeForceRTX4070 currently uses AD104-251GPU, and the new GPUUSKUAD103-175KX will be launched soon. The NVIDIA GeForceRTX4060Ti will be available in the current AD106-351 and the new AD104-150-KX versions, while the NVIDIA GeForceRTX4060 will be available in the current AD107-400 and the new AD106-255 versions.
Interestingly, the AD103-175-KX variant is the same Ada GPU as the RTX4070SUPER listed in the previous leak.
There is no sign of any changes to the specs of these GPUUSKUs yet, and that seems unlikely as the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER already exists as an upgraded version of the RTX 4070 and comes with an AD104 GPU. The most likely scenario here is that Nvidia is repurposing high-end chips that don't fit into its specific graphics card variants and emasculating them onto lower-level SKUs that can be used instead of wasted, something Nvidia has done with other GPUs in the past.
It is also reported that graphics cards equipped with these new AdaGPUSKU will go on sale this month. NVIDIA GeForceRTX4070 will be the first to be equipped with the new SKU, and RTX4060Ti/RTX4060 will follow next month. NVIDIA's latest GeForceGameReady551.86 driver already supports these new GPUUSKUs, so players won't have any issues with support and we can expect manufacturers to update their product pages mentioning the new SKUs.
