EA's "SimCity" series has been discontinued for ten years. For players who like city-building sandbox games, it is indeed a very regrettable thing. This has also resulted in P's "Cities: Skylines" having no rivals at all. In March this year, it was officially announced that "Cities: Skylines 2" will be available on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms, including GamePass.
Recently, game developer Colossal Order and publisher Parasite confirmed that Xbox and PS5 will be postponed to the Spring Festival of 2024. The good news is that the PC version will still be released on October 24.
In addition to announcing the delay of the console version, the development team has also increased the official PC system configuration requirements of "Cities: Skylines 2" because they want to make this game the most detailed, realistic and open city-building sandbox game ever.
Depending on the final configuration requirements, PC players will need at least a computer equipped with Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 52600X, 8GB RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX970 or AMD equivalent graphics card.
The recommended configuration has been improved. The CPU has been changed from i7-9700K/Ryzen 55600X to i5-12600K/Ryzen75800X, and the graphics card requirements have been upgraded from RTX2080Ti to RTX3080.
