According to InsiderGaming, Sony has provided developers with a "developer requirements" for the upcoming PS5 Pro enhanced console. Internally, the console is called "Trynity Enhanced." The "enhanced" tag was first introduced to the PlayStation ecosystem following the launch of PS4 Pro, meaning the game takes advantage of the Pro console's improved hardware to deliver higher frame rates and resolutions.
For PS5 Pro, Sony hopes the game will offer a PS5 Pro-exclusive graphics mode that will combine the following features:
·PSSR upscales resolution to 4K
·Constant 60FPS
·Add or enhance ray tracing effects
According to documents received by InsiderGaming, this is all possible for developers because the console has faster RAM (28% faster) and a graphics card that is faster (45% faster) and larger (67% larger) than a regular console. Sony says that combined, these will make the Pro 45% faster than the original PS5, and can provide 2 times the rendering speed of ordinary consoles.
Sony went on to say that games may also be awarded the "PS5 Pro Enhanced Edition" label if they offer any of the following enhancements:
·Increased target resolution for games running fixed resolution on standard consoles
·Increased the target maximum resolution for games running at variable resolutions on standard consoles
·Increased the target frame rate for games targeting a fixed frame rate on standard consoles
·Contains PS5Pro ray tracing effects
Richard Leadbetter, founder of Digital Foundry, said that players cannot expect high-demand games like "GTA6" to run at 60FPS on PS5 Pro. His tests were primarily based on the Pro's CPU, which is the same as the regular console but with a 10% increase in GHz.
