According to the New York Post, Grimes is suing Elon Musk to establish a "parental relationship" with one of their three children. Details of the lawsuit are still being kept under wraps, but TMZ speculates it will center around their youngest child, Tau, because Grimes says Musk doesn't allow her to visit one of their children.
Last month, Grimes posted on the X website, the predecessor to Twitter, that she was taking some kind of legal action against Musk. "Tell Elon to let me see my son or get back to my attorney," she wrote in a reply to Walter Isaacson, who was promoting his biography of the Tesla CEO.
The lawsuit, filed in California on September 29, seeks to determine the child's legal parents if the parents are not married. "Petitions to establish parentage" can also be used to seek child support, pregnancy expenses and custody. Grimes has not yet asked for custody or child support, but TMZ speculates that may be the next step. Musk has yet to respond, the report said.
Musk and Grimes had their first son in 2020. A few months after they broke up, they gave birth to a daughter through surrogacy in 2021. Isaacson revealed in his Musk biography that the two had a third child in 2022. According to Isaacson's book, in 2021, Musk gave birth to twins with Shivon Zilis, an executive at Musk's company Neuralink.
