According to forecasts from the data center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, domestic tourism trips across the country are expected to reach 896 million, a year-on-year increase of 86%, and domestic tourism revenue will be 782.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 138%.
This forecast exceeds that of 2019, when the country received a total of 782 million domestic tourists, a year-on-year increase of 7.81%; domestic tourism revenue was 649.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.47%.
The analysis believes that the number of tourists and tourism revenue "increased compared with the same period in 2019", which is a sign that the domestic tourism industry has gone from recovery to transcendence.
