News on October 7,At the latest GMIF2023 conference, Loongson once again participated in the exhibition and stated that it will launch the 3A6000 processor in the fourth quarter of 2023.According to the official introduction, the Loongson 3A6000 processor is the first product of Loongson’s fourth-generation microarchitecture, integrating four newly developed high-performance 6-emission 64-bit LA664 processor cores. The main frequency reaches 2.5GHz, supports 128-bit vector processing extension instructions (LSX) and 256-bit advanced vector processing extension instructions (LASX), supports simultaneous multi-threading technology (SMT2), and the whole chip has a total of 8 logical cores.
Loongson 3A6000 integrates a dual-channel DDR4-3200 controller on-chip and integrates a safe and trusted module, which can provide secure startup solutions and national secret (SM2, SM3, SM4, etc.) application support.
According to the test results of the China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute's Saixi Laboratory, the Loongson 3A6000 operates at a frequency of 2.5GHz. The SPECCPU2006base single-threaded fixed/floating point scores reach 43.1/54.6 points respectively, and the SPECCPU2006base multi-threaded fixed/floating point scores reach 155/140 points respectively.
The measured bandwidth of the dual DDR4-3200 memory channel Stream exceeds 42GB/s, and the measured Unixbench score exceeds 7400 points.
According to the test results, the overall performance of the Loongson 3A6000 processor is equivalent to Intel's 10th generation Core quad-core processor launched in 2020.
More importantly, Loongson 3A6000 adopts Loongson's independent command system Dragon architecture. Officials say that from the top-level architecture to command functions and ABI standards, it is all designed independently without the need for foreign authorization.
