Recently, CRRC officially stated:France's first self-driving bus has begun trial operation in France's Marne Vallée province. The vehicle was developed by China's CRRC and can transport passengers under real traffic conditions. The bus put into trial operation this time is the electric city bus series C12AI.The vehicle is 12 meters long and can implement all-round real-time interaction of dynamic information about people, vehicles and roads.

From the outside, this 100% pure electric self-driving bus seems to be no different from an ordinary bus, but in fact, it is not the driver who directly drives the vehicle, but an artificial intelligence system. Only in an emergency will the driver take over the steering wheel again.

It is reported that,The pilot project aims to "allow the system to learn as much as possible, leading to the progressive development of autonomous transportation."

Judging from previously announced information, the car has completed trial operation in the suburbs of Paris, France as early as December 2022.

Currently, CRRC Electric Co., Ltd. is also cooperating with a number of French companies to optimize the "intersection priority" technology, shortening the vehicle running time on the entire road section from 40 minutes to 23 minutes.

In 2024, CRRC Electric will provide three 12-meter smart driving vehicles to Paris, France for line operations.
