October 10th marks the end of support for Windows 11 version 1. Version 21H2 is no longer supported, so Microsoft will no longer release monthly updates containing fixes and security patches. If you're running Windows 11 version 21H2, it's time to go ahead and install the latest feature updates.
Microsoft released Windows 11 version 21H2 to the public on October 5, 2021. In addition to a more stylish appearance, the operating system also introduces a number of productivity-focused features and improvements, such as SnapLayouts, Windows Subsystem for Android, better external display support, Windows Widgets, and more.
However, the market response to Windows 10 has not been enthusiastic, and the hardware requirements are also very high, resulting in many computers with acceptable performance unable to be upgraded from Windows 10 to 11. Additionally, many users openly despised the redesigned taskbar and Start menu, arguing that they lacked many features due to a rushed release.
Microsoft spent two years polishing Windows 11 and solving the biggest stumbling block to the latest operating system. The latest Windows 11 version 22H2 and its "Moment4" feature update are much better and more user-friendly for those migrating from the dying Windows 10.
If your computer is still using Windows 11 version 21H2, you can update to 22H2 and the "Moment3" update, which will bring you numerous features and improvements.

You can also download Moment 4, a non-security optional update that includes several highly anticipated features such as taskbar reorganization, redesigned volume slider, native RGB controls, Copilot AI assistant, and more. Microsoft will automatically update most Windows 11 users to the Moment 4 update in November 2023.
Later this year, Microsoft will release Windows 11 version 23H2 with almost zero changes. It will be supported for two years just like the original version and the 22H2 version.
