Some car owners said that in response to these situations, no one answered their calls to WM customer service.
It is understood that as early as August this year, in the relevant Weimar owner forum, some car owners reported that the Weimar APP could not be used normally. For example, the mobile phone can only receive data and cannot control vehicles, etc.
In this regard, some netizens said, "At least the closure of the oil truck has not affected its use. It is just a maintenance trouble. How can the new power electric car be used if the server is down?" "How do you charge it! You can't even enter the APP"... Some netizens bluntly said that their "smart car" has become a "mentally disabled car."
In the past, WM Motor was also among the first echelon of new car-making forces, but it has gradually fallen behind in the past two years, and its sales volume is far less than that of "Wei Xiaoli". On January 12 this year, Shen Hui, the founder of WM Motor, used "Live on, live like an animal" on Weibo to describe WM's plight. The results were still not ideal, and WM Motor has recently filed for bankruptcy review.
On October 9, the National Enterprise Bankruptcy and Reorganization Case Information Network showed that WM Motor Technology Group Co., Ltd. was applied for bankruptcy and reorganization. The applicant was WM Motor itself, and the handling court was the Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court.
Subsequently, WM Motor issued a notification letter via Weibo stating that WM Motor will not lie flat, let alone fall, and hopes to actively save itself by adjusting its corporate strategy, solving financial debt problems, and getting investors to participate in restructuring and development. In view of the fact that WM still has commercial value and rescue value, the corporate governance structure is still complete, it has basic independent negotiation capabilities, and some creditors are also willing to reorganize, the Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court accepted WM Automotive Technology Group's pre-reorganization application on October 7, 2023.
