At the WWDC2024 conference, Apple finally announced its long-prepared artificial intelligence capabilities. Apple's implementation of AI utility is very different from its competitors, which is why it will arrive later than expected. Siri has also been improved accordingly, and Apple seems to be launching the new experience in the iOS 18 update in the first quarter of next year.

Mark Gurman pointed out in the latest issue of the PowerOn newsletter that Apple will release a new Siri experience early next year as part of the iOS 18 update. The feature's late launch suggests the company is still integrating AI technology into its platform, which is taking longer than originally anticipated. It’s important to note that Siri will be equipped with some new features, but the full version with all new features will be launched in next year’s iOS 18.4 update.

As for the time frame, Apple may release iOS 18.4 next year, but the specific release date is currently unknown. We'll know more details early next year, though, as the new Siri experience goes through developer testing. The testing period will begin in January and the final version will be released in the spring.

Note that "Apple Intelligence" and the new Siri update are different features, and the company may release them later this year, possibly at the same time as the iPhone 16 series. Apple Intelligence will include some of the useful features the company announced on stage last month, which will be rolled out at the appropriate time in the coming months.

When Apple releases iOS 18 to the public, Siri will include some important new features, including ChatGPT integration and a new design. The proportion of features Apple will release this year and next is unknown, but the likelihood of them all being released together is slim.

Apple has begun developing iOS19 and Apple Intelligence enhancements, which will be available to users next year.
