AGI is listed first. Is OpenAI going full force into general artificial intelligence (AGI)? Recently, OpenAI's official website has quietly revised the company's core values, listing AGI at the top of the list of values, placing more emphasis on the development of AGI. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman previously said that AGI is equivalent to "mid-level humans who can be hired as colleagues."

According to a screenshot taken by the media on September 25, 2022, the OpenAI recruitment page lists six core values for its employees to follow, which are bold, thoughtful, humble, valuing impact, teamwork and focusing on growth.

The same page now lists a total of five values, with "AGI Focus" listed first. OpenAI official website writes:

We are committed to building safe and beneficial AGI, which will have a huge positive impact on the future of mankind.

Anything that does not meet this goal is not considered.

The remaining four values are intensity and tenacity, scale, creating things that users love, and teamwork.

OpenAI has said it wants to develop AGI for years, but what exactly this technology will look like has been unclear. In a mission statement published in 2018, OpenAI described AGI as "highly autonomous systems that outperform humans in most tasks of economic value."
