Ferrari will expand its cryptocurrency payment terms to Europe by the end of July. The company began working with BitPay in October last year to accept cryptocurrency payments in the United States, including BTC, ETH, and USDC. According to an official statement, Ferrari is now extending the program to Europe to support dealers in better meeting the changing needs of their customers.
The company plans to expand the service to other markets by the end of 2024.
In October last year, Ferrari chief marketing and commercial officer Enrico Galliera said that the company had begun accepting cryptocurrency payments for its luxury sports cars in the United States and would expand the program to Europe at the request of its high-net-worth customers. Galliera said cryptocurrencies can reduce carbon footprints by introducing new software and making greater use of renewable resources.
