After Bungie was acquired by Sony, CEO spent millions of dollars buying classic cars

After Bungie was acquired by Sony for $3.6 billion in 2022, its situation is not good, and it has recently experienced layoffs. In response, Bungie CEO Pete Parsons blamed the problem on the company's excessive ambitions and financial deficits.

However, Parsons' recent behavior has intensified doubts and criticism from the outside world. It is reported that he purchased 20 valuable classic cars on multiple online auction websites, with a total value of millions of dollars. These vehicles include the classic Jaguar XKE series, rare Porsche 911S models, etc. Each car carries a rich history and high value.

It is worth mentioning that after the layoffs at Bungie, Parsons also bought several cars. For example, just a month after Bungie's first round of mass layoffs, he bought a 1971 Porsche 911 SCoupe for $201,000.

Many of the classic cars purchased by Parsons appear in a photo album called "AvantsParsonsgaragetour2024" on the Flickr website. Parsons also appeared in the photo, looking happy.

When Sony acquired Bungie, some employees at the company were optimistic. Because the company told them that although they were acquired, they would never lay off employees and there would not be any major changes. But two years later, Parsons' collection of classic cars has reached 20, and more than a quarter of the company's employees have been laid off.
