Lenovo has hinted that it will release a new LegionGo handheld device. Lenovo's Legion Go handheld device entered the market riding on the craze of AMD's Ryzen Z1 APU at the time, becoming a good alternative to mainstream options such as Asus' ROGAllyX. However, we didn't get any updates from the company on the LegionGo's successor, but Lenovo said it has plans to launch a new model with a "small and lightweight design."

New information in the description of the Lenovo Legion Go handheld computer shows that the company is developing a new device, which is likely to be a "scaled down version" of the original model. The description of the Legion Go on Lenovo's official website says that the handheld computer will have a "7-inch or 8-inch" display, and the Legion Go itself currently has an 8.8-inch screen, indicating that the company may be developing a smaller model. In addition, the description states that the device is also equipped with an HDMI port and a dual-fan cooling system, but the current model does not have these features.

Since the device's description was recently updated, it could be a hint that we could see a "smaller, more powerful" model hit the market. As far as specs go, we don't have a clear idea just yet, but judging from the fact that Lenovo plans to sell the upcoming handheld device as a "configuration" of the original Legion Go, its onboard components are likely to be similar, especially when it comes to the processor.

The handheld market is a bit sluggish right now, mostly because they're waiting for newer architectures to enter the industry. We've already seen MSI integrate Intel's Lunar Lake SoC in their "Claw" handheld computers, and manufacturers are expected to adopt the new AMD StrixPoint APU as well, which will make the market more competitive. For Lenovo, the company may launch multiple products, but nothing is certain yet.
