According to information released by the Volkswagen Group’s official website,In the third quarter of this year, the Volkswagen Group delivered 2.3437 million vehicles globally, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%.The group's strong sales in Europe and North America helped offset declines in China. In the first three quarters of this year, the Volkswagen Group delivered 6.7158 million vehicles globally, an increase of 10.9% compared with the same period last year.

The Volkswagen Group is still accelerating its electric transformation. From January to September this year, the Volkswagen Group's global delivery volume of pure electric vehicles reached 531,500 units, a year-on-year increase of 45%, and its proportion in the group's total sales increased from 6.1% in the same period last year to 7.9%.

Only in the third quarter,The Volkswagen Group's global pure electric vehicle sales surged 40.5% year-on-year to 209,900 units, accounting for 9.0% of the group's total sales from 6.8% a year ago.

In terms of market area, Volkswagen's largest single market is still China, but only in the Chinese market. Volkswagen's sales declined in Q3 quarter, with sales in China falling slightly by 5.8% to approximately 837,200 vehicles. Sales in the remaining regions all achieved year-on-year growth.

In addition, due to the uncertainty in the automobile consumer market this year, the Volkswagen Group lowered its global sales target for 2023 in July this year. It is expected that the full-year delivery volume will be between 9 million and 9.5 million vehicles, compared with the previous forecast of about 9.5 million vehicles.
