Kuai Technology reported on October 18 that the Passenger Car Association issued a document on its official website saying that according to the retail data of the Passenger Car Association, the price segment structure trend of the national urban market is continuing to rise.Sales of high-end models increased significantly, while sales of mid- to low-priced models decreased. Low-end consumption needs to be effectively encouraged. After all, when half of households do not own a car, low-end consumption has greater potential.

The proportion of models below 50,000 yuan will continue to increase from 2021 to 2022 compared with 2020, mainly due to the sales contribution of micro electric vehicles. From January to September this year, the sales volume of models below 50,000 yuan currently accounted for only 3.1%, down 1 percentage point from last year.

After the decline in sales of traditional models priced between RMB 50,000 and RMB 100,000 is offset by the growth of new energy vehicles, the sales share of models priced between RMB 50,000 and RMB 100,000 is only 15.6%, down 4.6 percentage points from last year and still low.

The market share of 100,000-150,000 models recovered quickly at 33.6%. In recent years, the proportion of models with more than 150,000 units has continued to rise, especially models with more than 300,000 units accounted for 14.4%, an increase of 3.2 percentage points from last year, reflecting the obvious trend of high-end development brought about by the growth of new energy sources for passenger cars.
