According to media reports, Toyota's fifth-generation Prius set a Guinness World Record, with its average combined fuel economy reaching 93.158 miles per gallon, or approximately 39.6 kilometers per liter.This result is more than 20% higher than the previous record set by Gerdes. The record was achieved during a journey across the United States, starting at Los Angeles City Hall and ending at New York City Hall.
The whole journey is about 5168.73 kilometers, during which it experienced terrain with an altitude of about 2133.6 meters and high temperatures of up to 40.56 degrees Celsius.
