The next new "Battlefield" game will not only be developed by DICE, but will be jointly developed by four studios. EA held its 2024 Investor Day meeting on Tuesday and provided more details about the development of the new Battlefield game. According to the company, DICE will focus on the game's multiplayer online features.

Motive Studios, developer of the "Dead Space" remake, announced earlier this year that it would be moving into the "Battlefield" project and would be working on developing the single-player portion of the game.

Criterion Games, which has developed the "Battlefield 5", "Battlefield 2042" and "Need for Speed" series, is also currently involved in the development of single-player and multiplayer games.

In addition to the above two companies and DICE, the last studio is Ripple Effect (the developer of "Medal of Honor"), which is developing a "new experience", more details about which will be disclosed at a later date.

Recently EA revealed many details about the new "Battlefield". The new game will remove the expert system brought by "2042" and return to the original career distribution of the series; at the same time, the company will also abandon the "gimmick" of 128-player matching and focus on 64-player battles. The game is confirmed to be released at some point in 2025. According to InsiderGaming, the game will also include a free "Battle Royale" mode.

More other details will be announced later, including the actual game machine, modes, and specific release date.
