The main construction of Datang Zhongning’s 100MW/400MWh compressed air energy storage green and low-carbon technology research project has started.It is reported that,The project is equipped with the world's first fully artificial underground gas storage 100MW compressed air energy storage system.It marks significant progress in the research, development and application of new energy storage technologies in my country.
Datang Zhongning Energy Storage Project is located in Zhongning County, Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It focuses on the development and application of underground gas storage technology and has overcome a series of technical problems such as limited site selection, high costs, and low efficiency. It has the advantages of long energy storage time, large capacity, low unit cost, safety and environmental protection, and high promotion value.
In terms of design,The project uses a circular underground chamber with a total designed gas storage volume of 100,000 cubic meters, buried 150 meters underground and the storage medium is only air., by using new energy to generate compressed air, we get rid of dependence on fossil fuels and achieve zero carbon emissions, environmental friendliness, and intrinsic safety.
It is understood that after the project is completed, the annual power generation is expected to reach 118.8 million kilowatt-hours, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of nearly 100,000 ordinary families and create a tax revenue of approximately 45 million yuan.
