Regarding Switch 2, new rumors have emerged. According to Spanish media Vandal, Nintendo’s new console Switch 2 is expected to be released in March/April 2025. Recently, Ruben Mercado, CEO of Blade, a European company that makes gaming accessories and peripherals, participated in Vandal's radio podcast. According to Mercado, the development of Switch 2 has been completed and his company has obtained the hardware that is close to the final version.
Mercado also said that the planned release time of Switch 2 is between March and April 2025. He speculated that if Nintendo wants to boost its performance before the end of the fiscal year, Switch 2 may be released in March. If there is no need, then it may be April.
Mercado also briefly mentioned that the new JoyCon controllers are magnetic and come with a lock to keep them securely attached to the Switch 2.
Ruben also seemed to hint that the analog sticks might be different from older models because his company can't reuse the ones they produce for the current Switch console.
Finally, Mercado confirmed that Nintendo is planning a global release of the Switch 2. He couldn't reveal any exact information about the price, but he speculated that it could be between $400 and $500.
