The company revealed in a blog post that more than 3,000 Android games are now playable on Google Play Games for Windows 10 and 11 PCs. Although the service will first be launched to the public in January 2022, it still has a "beta" label, and Google has not said when it will remove this label.

Another new feature coming to the service is expanded controller support. Google said:

Controllers can make PC gaming easier and more fun. We will launch console controller support for some games to allow players to enjoy a more immersive gaming experience. Try an Xbox S|X, Xbox One, PS5 DualSense or PS4 DualShock gamepad with compatible games like Asphalt 9: Legends and BADLAND.

If you have a PC gaming monitor with a 4K resolution, Google says some of them can now run supported Google Play games. Gamers can also press the Shift+Tab button on the keyboard to select different resolutions in Google Play Games.

Finally, the service has a new search feature:

A big request from our players was for an easier way to search in Google Play Games. That's why we recently launched a search feature to help you find what you're looking for quickly and easily. In the "All Games" section, navigate to the search bar at the top and enter the game you're looking for.

Here is a reminder of the minimum system requirements for using GoogePlayGames on PC:
