Recently, according to Tesla’s third quarter financial report,Tesla's annual production capacity has been increased again and now exceeds 2.35 million units, an increase of 325,000 units compared with the previous quarter and an increase of 450,000 units year-on-year.It is reported that the increase in production capacity is mainly attributed to the Shanghai factory in China and the Texas factory in the United States. Tesla said:Currently, Tesla's Shanghai factory is operating at nearly full capacity. With full power, a complete vehicle can roll off the production line in less than 40 seconds.

Tesla's Texas factory has started trial production of the new Cybertruck and will deliver the first batch of new cars by the end of this year.

Currently, Tesla has 6 factories around the world. They are the California Gigafactory, the Austin Gigafactory in Texas, the Shanghai Gigafactory in China, the Berlin Gigafactory in Germany, the Nevada Gigafactory, and the New York Factory.

Among them, the Nevada factory was completed and put into production in June 2014. It is responsible for the main production of power batteries, Powerwall and Powerback. The New York factory mainly produces solar roofs, which are used in conjunction with Powerwall and Powerback.

It is worth mentioning thatAs Tesla's first overseas factory, it not only provides production capacity, but also acts as an export center. Tesla's Shanghai factory alone can produce more than 950,000 new cars every year.

According to previous reports, all global production of the new Tesla Model 3 will be handed over to the Shanghai Gigafactory. Currently, a large number of new Model 3s are about to be shipped to Europe for sale.

In the second and third quarters of this year, Tesla’s average production capacity exceeded 450,000 units. As of September 17 this year, Tesla has produced a total of 5 million electric vehicles.
