NASA will livestream two Roscosmos astronauts performing a spacewalk outside the International Space Station on Wednesday, October 25, to install communications hardware and inspect part of the orbital complex.

Coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. ET on NASA TV, the NASA app and the agency’s website:

The spacewalk is expected to begin at 1:55 p.m. and could last up to seven hours.

Ezoic Expedition 70 astronauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub will venture outside the space station's Poisk module to install a synthetic radar communications system and release a nanosatellite to test solar sail technology. Outside the space station, they will also inspect and photograph the external backup radiator on the Nauka multi-purpose experimental module where a coolant leak occurred on October 9.

This spacewalk will be the 268th spacewalk to support the assembly, maintenance and upgrade of the space station. This will be Kononenko's sixth spacewalk, and he will wear a spacesuit with a red stripe. Meanwhile, this is Chubb's first spacewalk, and he will wear a spacesuit with blue stripes.
