Like previous events, the October event will be pre-recorded, but Apple will invite media to a viewing event at Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.
Mac rumors have been murky in recent months, but there are several possibilities. We may see an updated version of the 24-inch iMac, as the machine still uses the M1 Apple Silicon chip. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says don't expect MacBook Air updates, but the 13-inch MacBook Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro may use new chips.
It's unclear whether the update will focus on the new M3 series of chips, but depending on what the update says, we may see iMac and MacBook Pro models adopting the 3nm M3 chip lineup.
Given the current chaos surrounding the Mac product line, this is the most mysterious event we've encountered in recent times, with previous leaks of either sparse or conflicting information.
Apple plans to broadcast the event live on its website, YouTube and AppleTV app.
