MiHoYo’s game Genshin Impact has achieved incredible success around the world, especially in China. According to data from NikoPartners, a game analysis agency, the cumulative mobile revenue of this game in the Chinese market has exceeded 5 billion US dollars. This figure includes statistics on the revenue of "Genshin Impact" in domestic third-party Android stores.
The mobile revenue of "Genshin Impact" in overseas markets has also exceeded 4 billion US dollars, which means that of the total mobile revenue of "Genshin Impact" to date, the domestic market revenue has accounted for more than 55%. The agency predicts that the total mobile revenue of "Genshin Impact" will exceed US$10 billion in 2025.
NikoPartners pointed out: "In the past 12 months, the revenue of "Genshin Impact" has continued to decline, and player spending has been very low compared with the data of the previous three years. This is due to the intensified market competition in the RPG category, and also due to the diversion of MiHoYo's other games ("Honkai: Star Rail" and "Zero")."
The mobile version of "Genshin Impact" has been downloaded more than 218 million times globally. The top five countries with the most downloads are China (accounting for 22%), the United States (11%), Russia (7%), Indonesia (6%) and Japan (5%).
