Motorola has announced a slew of new MotoAI features coming to its smartphones. MotoAI was first launched during the Lenovo TechWorld 2023 event, and subsequently started adding two MotoAI features to the Razr 2024 series: MotoMagic Canvas and StyleSync.
At the Lenovo TechWorld 2024 event, Motorola said: "MotoAI advances this mission to transform the smartphone user experience in three core areas: assist, capture and create. This means that MotoAI can take action to help users complete tasks effortlessly, giving users the ability to capture the world around them and call it at any time, and providing users with the tools to inspire creativity."
MotoAI's new features will be available as part of an invitation-only beta program later this year. MotoAI is powered by Large Action Models (LAM), allowing users to converse with artificial intelligence assistants using natural language. This feature can be extended to everyday tasks, and future updates of MotoAI will also enable the automation of daily tasks.
Motorola showed off three new MotoAI tools, including "CatchMeU", "PayAttention" and "RememberThis".
By using "CatchMeUp" prompts, users can save time by letting MotoAI summarize personal communications so they don't have to scroll endlessly through notifications.
"PayAttention" helps users recall specific information or details without having to write it down or listen to a long recording to find out the details. It can record conversations or speeches, which are then transcribed by MotoAI for later use.
The "RememberThis" feature captures real-time moments or screen information with just one command. It works similarly to the GooglePixelScreenshot app, using artificial intelligence to generate content and details about the captured moment. It is worth noting that the memory created is stored locally and protected on the device.
During the beta launch phase, Motorola will consider user feedback and fine-tune the functions and performance of MotoAI.
