According to GameRant, the job information released by CDProjektRed shows that the company is recruiting a screenwriter/editor to "create English scripts for comic books, TV series and movies" and requires candidates to be familiar with CDProjektRed's intellectual property (including "The Witcher" and "Cyberpunk 2077").

While CDProjektRed has a close relationship with both brands, it does not own them outright. The copyright of "The Witcher" belongs to the writer Andrzej Sapkowski, and the copyright of "Cyberpunk 2077" belongs to the creator Mike Pondsmith. CDProjektRed only obtained the license for these two series. As such, the extent of the company's involvement in the film adaptation is unclear. However, CD Projekt Red's games have greatly expanded the reach of both series, bringing them legions of new fans.

Netflix is currently producing a live-action series of "The Witcher", and the fifth season will be the final chapter of the show. It's unclear whether Netflix plans follow-up projects. CD Projekt Red could be producing its own The Witcher adaptation after the Netflix series ends, or the two companies could collaborate on what's next for the series. Of course, this may also depend on how fans react to the show's next two seasons, especially given the controversy surrounding Geralt's role change.

CDProjektRed is apparently planning some projects, but the specifics are unknown. This may be a long-term plan, or it may be that the company plans to make some larger animated feature adaptations than Cyberpunk: Edgewalker. With interest in game adaptations surging in recent years, the end result will be quite compelling.
