Developers have previously found ways to enable Apple Intelligence-related services on unsupported markets and unsupported devices, but Apple has also noticed this problem. In the latest version of iOS 18.2 Beta 3, Apple has a built-in authorized device list, which only lists all devices that support the Apple Intelligence service.
But that's not all. The latest version of Nugget 4.0.1, a key tool for cracking the Apple Intelligence service, does not work properly. The developer also confirmed that Apple has fixed the relevant vulnerabilities.
This means that users who have previously enabled Apple Intelligence on unsupported markets and unsupported devices cannot update the system for the time being, because Apple Intelligence will no longer be available after the update.
This situation will cover the official version of iOS 18.2 launched in December. Unless developers can find new ways to bypass Apple's authorization certification, users will have to stay in the old version if they want to use Apple Intelligence.
Another problem is that Apple Intelligence also calls the back-end server, so it is unclear whether Apple will adjust the back-end server to block old versions that have bypassed restrictions. If this is also blocked, it may not be possible to continue using Apple Intelligence during that period.
