Apple Music was interrupted again. Earlier, users were unable to listen to music normally because Apple forgot to renew the TLS digital certificate. This time, it was not because of a certificate issue, and it lasted longer. The AppleStatus page shows that starting from 11:42 on November 12, 2024 (UTC+8), both Apple Music and Apple TV+ experienced service interruptions. Apple did not announce the detailed reasons.
Bluepoint.com conducted tests when this article was published and found that it has not recovered properly. When AppleMusic clicks on a song that has not been downloaded or cached, it is always loading or prompts that the item you are trying to purchase is no longer available.
The situation is similar for AppleTV+, which cannot be loaded normally on either iPhone or AppleTV. Judging from feedback on Downdetector, this interruption should have affected users around the world.
