At Vandenberg Space Force Base in the United States,SpaceX used a twelve-handed Falcon 9 rocket (B1071.12) to launch 113 small satellites and successfully recovered the first stage of the rocket.This is SpaceX's 82nd orbital launch mission in 2023, the fourth low-Earth orbit small payload carpool launch mission, and the second launch of a non-Starlink satellite payload since September 2 - the last time was using a second-hand Falcon 9 B1081.2 to launch the Dragon cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station.

The 113 small satellites launched this time,As many as 90 are deployed directly using Falcon 9 rockets, and the remaining 23 are deployed using orbital transfer vehicles.

PlanetLabs, an earth observation company headquartered in San Francisco, USA, launched 36 SuperDove satellites this time, bringing the total number to more than 500. It also launched a technology demonstration satellite Pelican-1, which integrates next-generation image sensors.
