According to the official introduction of China Railway, the Jingmen to Jingzhou High-speed Railway (hereinafter referred to as the Jing-Jing High-speed Railway) will be opened for operation on December 8. Jingmen West to Jingzhou and Hankou can be reached in 28 minutes and 1 hour and 37 minutes in the fastest time. The total length of the line is about 77.48 kilometers, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are 14 new bridges, with a total length of about 65.41 kilometers, accounting for 83.64% of the total length of the line.

There are three stations on the entire line: Jingmen West, Shayang West, and Jingzhou. Among them, Jingmen West Station and Shayang West Station are newly built stations.

After the Jingjing High-speed Railway is completed and opened to traffic, Jingmen will officially enter the high-speed rail era. The fastest train travel time from Jingmen to Jingzhou will be reduced to about 20 minutes, and the fastest train travel time from Wuhan to Jingmen will be reduced to less than 2 hours.

After Jingmen City is connected to the Han-Yi Railway through the Jing-Jing High-speed Railway, it has achieved interconnection with the national high-speed rail network.

Jingmen City is the only city in Hubei Province that does not have access to high-speed rail. After the Jing-Jing High-speed Railway was put into operation, 17 cities and prefectures in Hubei Province have achieved "city-to-city high-speed rail access", which greatly facilitates people's travel.

Because of the name "Jingjing High-speed Railway", this line has often attracted everyone's attention. In fact, there are many similar names in our country:

For example, the Huanghuang High-speed Railway, which is a high-speed railway from Huanggang to Huangmei, has five stations including Huanggang East, Xishui South, Qichun South, Wuxue North and Huangmei East.

There is also the Shantou-Shantou High-speed Railway, which starts from Shantou Station, passes through 8 districts and counties in Shantou, Jieyang, and Shanwei, and connects to Shanwei Station of the Guangzhou-Shanwei High-speed Railway.

The Longyan High-speed Railway starts from Longyan Station in Longyan City, Fujian Province, and ends at Longchuan West Station in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province.
