Manjaro 24.2 "Yonada" was released today, the latest version of this popular ArchLinux-based desktop Linux distribution. Manjaro 24.2 is the latest milestone for this ArchLinux-powered environment. In Manjaro24.2, the latest desktop environments include GNOME47 and KDEPlasma6.2.

The updated desktop environment brings new features to the latest KDE and GNOME desktop environments, such as accent color support, various user interface improvements, new hardware features, and other improvements. Xfce4.18 has also been released with Manjaro 24.2, while the Xfce4.20 upstream version is expected to be released later this month.

Manjaro 24.2 uses the newly released Linux 6.12 kernel, which was recently announced as this year's long-term support (LTS) kernel version. For those who wish to obtain older versions, older versions of the Linux 6.6 LTS and Linux 6.1 LTS kernels are still available.
