Sony Group's iconic and well-known building in the most prosperous area of Tokyo, the Sony Ginza Building has been re-planned and transformed into the GinzaSony Park theme park, scheduled to open on January 26, 2025. Its main businesses have their own territories, such as games as a social venue and music as travel.
·Ginza Sony Park Theme Park integrates the six major operating businesses of the Sony Group into the new venue design to strengthen the creation of a theme atmosphere. For example, games are a social venue, music is travel, and movies represent the forest. The former Sony Building will bring players and visitors a new park-like atmosphere experience.
·The Sony Ginza Building already stood in Japan's most prosperous center in 1966, witnessing Sony's strength and continuous development. On the 50th anniversary of the building's completion, officials proposed the concept of "theme parkization" and began renovation and expansion work. It was completed in August 2024 and is scheduled to officially open to the public on January 26, 2025.
