The Esports World Cup 2025 announced that "EA Sports FC 25" and "Overwatch 2" will return as the 11th and 12th games of the event. A total of 24 events are competing, and the competition is scheduled to take place from June 2025 to August 2025.
Previously announced games include "Honor of Kings", "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6", "Call of Duty: Warzone", "FreeFire", "Street Fighter 6", "Rainbow Six: Siege", "DOTA2", "Counter-Strike 2", "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" and "Apex Legends", followed by "EA Sports FC25" and "Overwatch 2".
At this year's Esports World Edition, Luna Galaxy's João "jafonsogv" Vasconcelos defeated Tuzzy E-Sports' Gabriel "Young" Freitas 6-2 in EASports FC 24, while Crazy Raccoon defeated Toronto Ultra 4-1 in the Overwatch 2 Grand Finals.
The prize pool of the 2025 E-Sports World Cup is as high as US$60 million, with bonuses of US$1.25 million per game, distributed between 1st and 16th place. The ranking bonus is as follows:
No. 1: $500,000
No. 2: $230,000
No. 3-4: US$100,000 each
No. 5-8: US$40,000 each
No. 9-16: US$20,000 each
Every game announced so far is a return for the 2024 event. If this trend is followed, it is expected that games such as "Tekken 8", "Rocket League", "Fortnite", "StarCraft 2", "Teamfight Tactics" and "Endless Showdown" will appear: filling the last 12 places.
