Yesterday, it was reported that Jiyue was resuming work, and some store salesmen were notified to go to work. In response, Jiyue CEO Xia Yiping said,Today, front-line stores have not resumed work and production. Notifying store employees to go back to work is just to ensure the minimum operational requirements, that is, to keep 200 sales in the store.Recently, Jiyue Automobile has encountered a business crisis. On December 12, Xia Yiping was surrounded by many employees in the company's headquarters office.
The employees have four main demands. They are that Jiyue pays all employees' social security, medical insurance and provident fund in October and November this year; pays all wages, five insurances and one housing fund, and personal income tax in December this year; gives employees "N+1" compensation on the day of resignation; and completes the employee settlement process.
In addition to employees, Jiyue car owners and Jiyue suppliers also rushed to Jiyue headquarters to negotiate with Xia Yiping.
Just yesterday, there was the latest development in the Jiyue incident. Baidu and Geely issued a joint statement saying that they would carry out aftermath work for employees and vehicles.
The statement said that Jidu Automobile Co., Ltd. is a new car-making start-up invested by Geely Holdings and Baidu Holdings. It is an innovative product that explores the intelligent transformation of automobiles. Jiyue Automobile products are manufactured by Geely factories and are authorized to be operated exclusively by Jidu. Due to the huge changes in the industry's competitive landscape, the established business plan cannot be implemented and operations have encountered challenges.
As shareholders, both parties will actively assist Jidu's management to properly handle related matters: resolve issues of employee social security payment and compensation for resigned employees as soon as possible; maintain the normal use, after-sales and maintenance of user vehicles; and promote the reasonable and legal settlement of other matters.
