According to China Eastern Airlines’ plan,Starting from New Year's Day 2025, the domestic large aircraft C919 will be used to fly the "Shanghai Hongqiao-Hong Kong" round-trip flight, officially launching the commercial operation of domestic large aircraft on regional routes. By then, China Eastern Airlines will also become the first airline to use C919 to fly scheduled commercial flights in Hong Kong.
China Eastern Airlines is the world's first user of C919, with a cumulative order of 105 aircraft. It is currently the airline with the largest C919 fleet.
Hong Kong is the ninth city where China Eastern Airlines C919 regularly operates commercial flights.
It is understood that the C919 that flew to Hong Kong for the first time this time also wore a special skin and set sail wearing CCTV News' "Shine China Red".
After that, C919 will be put into regular commercial flight operation on the "Shanghai-Hong Kong Express Line".It is planned that there will be one round trip every day, and the round trip flight numbers are MU721 (Shanghai Hongqiao-Hong Kong) and MU722 (Hong Kong-Shanghai Hongqiao).
