Reports indicate that Microsoft has notified users that its Microsoft 365 application will be renamed Microsoft 365 Copilot and is scheduled to take effect in mid-January 2025. This rebranding includes not only a name change, but also adjustments to the app icon and interface.
It is evident that Microsoft attaches great importance to the Copilot brand. It has equipped many PCs shipped with dedicated Copilot keys, although the status of this key is currently somewhat embarrassing.
Now it's not enough for Microsoft to just equip Copilot, it's also trying to rename everything Copilot.
The renamed Microsoft365Copilot will further strengthen Copilot's brand image and integrate it into Microsoft's core product line.
The new app icon will feature Copilot's colorful design of blue, yellow, pink and purple, with the word "M365" added at the bottom.
In terms of interface, Microsoft has also updated it, removing the title bar and "Back" button. All buttons will be moved to the left sidebar, and the Copilot function will be placed at the top.
