According to CCTV news reports, today,The CR450 EMU prototype made its debut in Beijing, marking a major breakthrough in the "CR450 Science and Technology Innovation Project."In the next step, the China Railway Group will arrange for the CR450 EMU prototype to conduct a series of line tests and assessments to further test various performances, continuously optimize technical indicators, and strive to put it into commercial operation as soon as possible.

It is understood that the CR450 EMU prototype is leading the world in major indicators such as operating speed, operating energy consumption, interior noise, and braking distance.

The CR450 has a test speed of 450 kilometers per hour and an operating speed of 400 kilometers per hour, making it the fastest high-speed train in the world.

At the same time, the braking distance is shorter and the operation stability is better. When the operating speed is increased, the braking distance is basically the same.

According to reports, the operating resistance of the EMU is reduced by 22%, the weight is reduced by 10%, the comfort index is better, the noise in the vehicle is reduced by 2 decibels, and the passenger room service space is increased by 4%.

my country has 100% independent intellectual property rights for CR450 and will officially implement the "CR450 Science and Technology Innovation Project" in 2021, started research and development of CR450 EMUs with a speed of 400 kilometers per hour and research on complete sets of high-speed rail infrastructure technologies;

In 2022, the overall technical conditions of the CR450 EMU were released, and CR450 EMU development technical condition parameter tests and a large number of simulation calculations were carried out;

From 2022 to 2023, new technology component replacement tests for CR450 EMUs were carried out on the Mimeng and Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railways to verify the performance of key new technologies and components;

Prototype production will be officially launched in 2024, intelligent manufacturing technology will be widely used, and quality control will be strengthened to ensure that the CR450 EMU prototypes will roll off the assembly line smoothly.
